The Deputy Director of the TIMC-IMAG laboratory, Jocelyne Troccaz has recently been voted “Fellow of the Medical Image Computing and Computer-Assisted Intervention (MICCAI) society"

This learned society was founded in 2004 in connection with the MICCAI conference, which had its first conference in 1998 in Boston. The MICCAI conference was the result of the fusion of three important conferences in the fields of medical imagery and computer assisted medical procedures (MRCAS, CVRMed and VBC).

As Director of CNRS research and head of the GMCAO  team (Computer Assisted Medico-Surgical Procedures) at the LSI Carnot Institute, Jocelyne Troccaz is one of the 11 founding members (2 of whom are French) of the MICCAI society. This fellowship acknowledges her scientific contribution to the field of medical imagery and computer assisted medical procedures, as well as the important role she has played in co-ordinating this area of research in international terms.
